Day 28–Must Follow!

Today’s Prompt:

  • Create a must follow list for your community on a single social network. Share your top 5-10 tweeters, blogs, or Facebook pages.

What a week!

Monday and Tuesday were fine, I even did my Pinterest, Day 24 assignment a day early.

However, teaching–and all of the other responsibilities that can entail teaching in a charter school–swooped in and took over my life on Wednesday like the Plague. International Baccalaureate parent/student information night on Wednesday. On Thursday there was a department chair meeting during my planning period, a tutoring/study group after school for my IB World History students whose exam is May 8th and 9th, and a meeting with a member of our board after tutoring. A staff meeting/debrief with the teachers of seniors after school on Friday meant I didn’t leave the building until after 5 and was very much in need of socializing with my co-workers for a bit. Yesterday, I ended up manning my school’s table at a teacher job fair (administration had other commitments) for 5 hours and then spent the evening photographing/chaperoning my school’s jr/sr prom. Glad progress report grades aren’t going out this week or I’d be toast.

Terry and I were going to head to Lafayette for the International Music Festival today, but with the threat of rain, and the fact that I was wiped out, we stayed home. Yeah! I can try to get a handle on my other commitments–like this writing challenge I’m involved in! Days 25 and 27 are done. Day 26 needs some work and might be ready tomorrow. Thankfully I spent some time earlier in the month setting up my blogroll, because I do not have the energy to create a separate list for Day 28 within this post.

So, let me introduce you to my blogroll. In case you didn’t notice, please look over to the right of this post and you will find my list, which includes some pretty amazing bloggers and sources. I haven’t figured out how to tweek and organize this section yet, but hope to within time. Click on any of the titles and you will be linked to the respective blog.

Wishing everyone a great week!

  3. Ahhhh, sounds like the chaos at the end of another school year!! Maybe a 31st blog that includes some pictures from your school’s prom?! Just wondering if it is classier than some around here….

    • There is more drama than what I posted–might send you a separate message about it. I will post some of the pics when I download them onto my computer. This was one of the classier proms I’ve been to in the past decade and was at a beautiful site.
